A spell used to revive someone who has been stunned. When spelled with two n's as ennervate it actually means to add nerve (daring or strength). With one n as enervate it means to weaken. From the latin enervo to remove the nerves or sinews The spell in the books is ennervate so it makes perfect sense.

A card came with the risk of losing your eye-brows, another use for the exploding snap cards is to use them to build a house of cards, more fun that playing with Muggle cards as you never know when they are going to go bang, though you risk more than your eyebrows in this practice

Expecto Patronum
Defence incantation against Dementors. From the Latin words ex, out and specio, to look, Patronus means protector or father, so expecto patronum means to look out for a protector. There is a female form of the word Patronus, Patrona which means Protectress.

Expelliarmus
A disarming spell, From the Latin combination, to expello, or drive out and arma to arm or supply with weapons or tools.

Expellimellius
Cho's variant of Expelliarmus that makes her friend's sleeve catch fire. I am not sure just what JK Rowling had in mind, but the Latin words she has used means, to expell or drive out the little sweet heart (or honey)
