A
potion that creates hot-headedness or recklessness. To Fuddle is to stupefy
with drink, to drink to excess or habitually, to confuse. Befuddle is to reduce
some one to a fuddled state.

Belby, Marcus:
A member of the Slug Club because of his uncle Damocles. One year ahead of Harry. Marcus may be related to Flavius Belby from mentioned in Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them.
Belby, Damocles
Uncle of Marcus, an outstanding wizard who received an Order of Merlin. Inventor of the Wolfsbane Potion. He does not see much of his nephew, as he does not get on well with his brother.
Damocles was an attendant in the royal court of the Greek tyrant Dionysius of Syracuse. Damocles talked so incessantly about the happiness of Dionysius that the tyrant decided to teach Damocles a lesson. Dionysius held a grand banquet, and invited Damocles to sit at the place of honour. Just as Damocles was beginning to enjoy himself, he was horrified to discover a sword hanging over his head, suspended by a single hair. In so doing, Damocles learned from Dionysius the perilous nature of his life. In modern language, "the sword of Damocles" has come to mean a dreaded tragedy that may strike at any moment.

From Old French bel "lovely" and chere face, countenance, variation on a name also means "beam". Humphrey from Old English hun "bear-cub, warrior" frit "peace". Also, "to dine with Duke Humphrey" is an Elizabethan phrase meaning to go with out a meal or to not eat.

Army. St. Katherine or Catherine of Alexandria was a scholarly woman who
was imprisoned for converting the wife and soldiers of the emperor Maxentius.
He is said to then have dispatched his philosophers to convince her by logical
arguments to denounce her faith, only to find that she instead converted them.
Later she was martyred, and a particular instrument of torture associated
with this is known as St. Katherine's Wheel

in the constellation Hydra. It's name is derived from Al Fard al Shuja
meaning The Solitary One in the Serpent pertaining nicely to his decision
to be one of the few in the family to help Sirius.

Elladora sister to Sirius, Phineas Nigellus, and Isla, who is believed to have been disowned

Sirius had an "Aunt Elladora" famous for heading house-elves when they got too old to carry tea trays it is unclear if this is the same person as Phineas' sister.
Ella means beautiful fairy woman. Dora means gift or dwelling. In Hebrew it means generation
