I am 41 years old married with a daughter (Frogmella), who has just turned six, we live in Bristol. I started reading Harry Potter some time in September 2000. I was on holiday on the Isle of Wight, and after reading the first book I didn't read the others for another two years later. I became a big fan after buying the Fifth book for my niece.Having ordered it months in advance, hoping it would arrive in time for her birthday, and I followed much of the hype with interest. I began to search the Internet for information on the release date, and soon became hooked, with in a week of the launch I had bought my own copy of the book. Since then I have read the books countless time (twice in research for this site, and parts of all the books.
I don't know what prompted me to start this site but I decided one day that others might have the same interest(my wife uses the word obsession). Started on the 20th September to build a site in front-page, hated the look, tried HotMetal, so I settled for Dreamweaver. Three tries later and the first version was launched, several helpful e-mail later and I started to rework the whole site from scratch.

A quick note on the colours used on this site, when I was fifteen and a half The Navy’s recruiting Officer told me that I am a Protanope (colour blind). I have learnt that the colours that I see were not what 99.5% (1 in 200 people) of the rest of the world saw. The colour Red and green, and about half the names on normal colour wheel are either just different names for the same colour, or mostly yellow or grey/black. When I find a site that explains it better, I will put a link to this page.
